INTRODUCTION

TYPES OF ANESTHESIA

There are 4 types of anesthesia or procedures to calm the patient and painless insertion of the implant.

Medical hypnosis

• The procedure is applied by a certified dentist or an accredited psychologist, during and in support of the painless dental implant.
• Medical hypnosis is all the more effective the more permissive the patient's "openness".
• In hypnosis it is necessary for the patient to cooperate and "let himself be led" by the doctor, so that he realizes that the pain is just a sensation that he can observe and control.
• The method can be used in conjunction with other types of anesthesia as an adjuvant.

Inhalation with hilar gas

• The procedure allows the patient to be sedated by inspiration of NO2 gas.
• NO2 or hilar gas is used as an anxiolytic and analgesic in surgery, gynecology and dentistry.
• The inert gas is administered through a mask, along with oxygen and is eliminated from the body exactly as it enters.
• NO2 anesthesia can be used in conjunction with other types of anesthesia as an adjuvant.

Local anesthesia

• The procedure allows the anesthesia of the area where the implant is inserted.
• It is performed by an injection in the gum, as in the usual procedures for treating teeth (eg: canal treatments).
• In about 2-3 minutes after injection, the patient has a completely numb area; does not feel pain during implant insertion.
• After about 20-30 minutes from insertion, the pain gradually returns but is stopped with painkillers.

Intravenous anesthesia

• The procedure partially puts the patient to sleep; he is semi-conscious and sometimes even cooperative.
• It is performed by the anesthetist by an intravenous injection, applied to the arm.
• After inserting the implants, the patient regains full consciousness and can go home.
• A few hours after the implant, the pain begins to return, but is stopped by painkillers.

• The cost of anesthesia for one or more dental implants through the methods of hypnosis, inhalation and local anesthesia is free and included in the final price of the operation.
• The cost of intravenous anesthesia is not included in the final price of the operation.
