What is the cheapest dental implant? But the most expensive?

A question often asked not only by patients with limited budgets, but even by almost everyone: "What is the cheapest dental implant?". In the lines below you can find the answer and see some examples of calculating the cost for multiple and total edentations.
THE CHEAPEST IMPLANT FOR 1 TEETH
The cheapest dental implant is made when the jaw bone is healthy and does not require other operations such as bone addition or sinus lifting. At the same time, if we refer to the quality / price ratio, the cheapest dental crown is the ceramic one.
EXAMPLE OF CALCULATION
PRODUCT / RELATED OPERATION | Price € |
---|---|
1x Dental implant | 600 |
1x Prosthetic bladder | 150 |
1x Ceramic crown | 150 |
TOTAL | 900 |
NOTE: This is an example with approximate average prices, practiced in clinics in Romania. To see how much a dental implant now costs at the Dr. Nassar Clinic in Bucharest, visit the prices.
THE MOST EXPENSIVE IMPLANT FOR 1 TEETH
The variant with the most expensive price appears when the maxillary bone is affected by bone resorption and no longer has enough volume for the insertion of the dental implant.
- From case to case, in order to restore the bone in optimal parameters, both bone extraction and addition, as well as sinus lifting can be used.
- When necessary, these additional related operations are not cheap at all and greatly increase the price of the implant for 1 tooth.
- At the same time, the patient can choose a zirconium dental crown (instead of a ceramic crown which is cheaper), which further increases the final price.
EXAMPLE OF CALCULATION
PRODUCT / RELATED OPERATION | Price € |
---|---|
1x Extraction | 100 |
1x Addition of bone | 150 |
1x Sinus external lift | 1400 |
1x Dental implant | 600 |
1x Prosthetic bladder | 150 |
1x Full zirconium crown | 400 |
TOTAL | 2800 |
NOTE: This is an example with approximate average prices, practiced in clinics in Romania. The calculation is made for a special situation, quite rare, but which may be possible.
CAREFUL:
- Usually the clinics in Romania present offers with the cheapest price, without including the price of crowns, abutments or possible related operations.
- There are quite a few patients who are late to come to the dentist as soon as a tooth has fallen out.
- The longer the visit is delayed, the more the bone is resorbed (melted) and thus the possibility of related operations increases: bone addition and sinus lift.
THE MOST EXPENSIVE REPLACEMENT OPTION FOR ALL TEETH
The most expensive variant appears when all the teeth have fallen out or are about to fall out; the maxillary bone is affected by bone resorption and no longer has enough volume for the insertion of the dental implant.
- In this case the patient needs 10 dental implants and additional operations to restore the bone and maxillary sinuses for 10 teeth.
- If the patient opts for 10 full zirconium crowns instead of the ceramic ones, the price escalates even more.
EXAMPLE OF CALCULATION
PRODUCT / RELATED OPERATION | Price € |
---|---|
10x Extraction | 1000 |
2x Addition of bone | 300 |
2x Sinus external lift | 2800 |
10x Dental implant | 6000 |
10x Bont prosthetic | 1500 |
10x Full zirconium crown | 4000 |
TOTAL | 15600 |
NOTE: This is an extreme example that shows us how much it can cost to replace an arch with multiple or total edentation. When choosing the most expensive materials and the jaw requires complex operations, the price is not cheap at all.
THE CHEAPEST REPLACEMENT OPTION FOR ALL TEETH
Fortunately, there are other modern solutions for rehabilitating the entire tooth. These variants allow the replacement of teeth with only 2, 4 or 6 dental implants on which the ceramic dental bridge is then loaded:
- Mobile prosthesis on 2 or 4 implants (cheapest option)
- All on 4 system - fixed prosthesis on 4 implants
- All on 6 system - fixed prosthesis on 6 implants
