How long does it take to get a dental implant

One of the most common questions I hear from patients is, "How long does it take to get a dental implant?" Most of the time they are surprised when they find out what answer I give them. Basically, no one expects to "escape" so quickly.
INSERTION DURATION
Typically, the implantation procedure should not take longer than Ten minutes, especially if the operation is somewhat simple and does not require other side operations such as tooth extraction, for example.
In the video below you can find out the average duration of an implant inserted by Dr. Lorelei Nassar.
INSERTION DURATION MAY INCREASE OR DECREASE DEPENDING ON:
- Number and type of possible related operations. The total operation time in the case of several implanted teeth is not proportional to the number of implants. There are almost always other related operations that require, in turn, time.
- The experience of the implant surgeon. The duration of the operation is influenced by the way the surgeon is organized, by how well he masters the techniques specific to implantology and, perhaps most importantly, by the experience gained throughout his career.
